Literacy and Education

It is worth pondering how inclusive is literacy and education in 2021. It is imperative that literacy and education to be made as inclusive as possible. No one should be left behind because there were formalities or requirements they could not fulfill.

It is Utopian to make all literate equally because there are lot of obstacles humanity has yet to overcome to make this world an Utopia, yet it is fairly attainable that all aspiring for literacy and education should be provided equal opportunities.

Literacy and education can reach everyone by understanding that literacy and education should not be limited and beyond the reach of anyone. Sadly it is not so in the present day world which is negating the very purpose of literacy and education.

In the 21st century world, on the one hand attainment of literacy and education is being made more and more difficult, and on the other hand it is made more necessary for day to day working and employment. Obviously it is not fair. Simplification is needed.

Literacy and education are two types in the present day world: formal education imparted at institutions and self-education attained by individual interest and effort. Both types of literacy and education have importance and utility.

Before the advent of computer and the Internet it was a common attitude among the school and formally educated people to refuse those equally literate and educated who were not schooled and formally educated due to any reasons.

The invention of printing press around the 15th century brought big changes in the world. Literacy and education were liberated from formalities and made reachable to all aspiring for becoming literate and educated through reading printed pages.
