Importance of Manners

Most people are usually polite and well mannered. But some people sometimes seem impolite and not well behaved because of some petty matter. Politeness is the foundation of manners. In a fast paced world politeness and kindness are as essential as basic needs for day to day work. Often elders see a deficiency of politeness and manners in the young. Mostly the young learn and follow elders. Actually, politeness and manners are equally imperative for people of all age groups and have nothing to do with age or any other differences.

The world has changed into a global town after progressing from a village, but it has happened only technologically, and has yet to happen socially. Human harmony and equality for all segments in any society are yet far away dreams. Much is still desired to progress in societies.

Societies need to progress bringing equality to all people, as much as possible, to be compatible with progress in the fields of sciences and technologies. Social sciences study and discuss societies but cannot develop any society socially because that is the work of humanities. In a technologically quick world humanities need to strengthen the foundations of politeness, kindness, manners & such other humane values. Humanities better be seen as faculties separate from social sciences. Social sciences are mostly concerned with societies instead of people.
